Is this normal, no matter how far I trim it in the right direction it won't stay steady. I have also noticed that the inside circuitry is loose and I don't think it should be. (…)

A decent electric heli - about $150/$250 - 3D for about $400
A decent gas heli - about $1500
Stay away from the birds without tail rotors, the coaxial helis, they fly like crap. (…)
